SeeMyChange
SeeMyChange is a private photo journal. Your check-in photos are encrypted on your device before they ever leave it — we have no technical ability to view them.
Creating an account collects your email address (via Google Sign-In, or email/password once available). To keep accounts secure and prevent abuse (e.g. one person creating many accounts), we also record your IP address when you sign in. We never see the contents of your encrypted photos. Settings like reminders and theme stay on your device.
Each photo is encrypted on your device with a key that never leaves it. Our servers only ever store encrypted bytes and non-identifying metadata such as capture dates.
If you turn on encrypted backup, your encrypted files are uploaded to a folder in your own Google Drive account, not ours. You can disconnect this at any time from Settings.
A photo only becomes visible to other people if you explicitly choose to publish it to the Community feed. Nothing leaves your private vault otherwise.
Pro subscriptions are billed and managed by the App Store or Google Play. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status, never your payment details.
If the app runs into an error, it sends an anonymous crash report through Google Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix it: the type of error, a technical code location, your device model, operating system and app version. It never includes your photos, Journey names, notes or email address.
To see which parts of the app help people, the app counts how often a few things happen — for example that it was opened, a Journey was created or the Pro screen was shown — and sends only these counts, together with the app version and language. No account, email address, device ID, photo, name or note is sent with them, and nothing that could identify you or your device is stored. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → About → Anonymous usage statistics.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. This removes your data from our servers.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Meaningful changes will be announced in the app.
Questions about this policy can be sent to the support address listed in the app.
